With the holiday season around the corner, it’s time to schedule a carpet cleaning appointment to get your home ready for all your guests and festivities. Let the experts at Alamo Chem-Dry help check carpet cleaning off your growing to-do list.
At Alamo Chem-Dry, we take pride in providing our customers with excellent service that prioritizes the health, safety, and comfort of their families. You can count on our carpet cleaners to be professional and communicative before, during, and after the carpet cleaning process.
We make it easy for you to know exactly what to expect every step of the way. Leading up to your appointment, there are a few simple things you can do to prepare and ensure our carpet cleaners get the job done quickly and effectively.
Remove Clutter
There’s no need to do a complete declutter of your home to enjoy a cleaner, fresher carpet. It is, however, important to remove items from the carpeted area so our technicians can carefully clean every inch.
This step is also important for eliminating tripping hazards for our team members. Items that are frequently overlooked include shoes, toys, books, and small electronic devices.
Relocate Lighter Pieces of Furniture
Heavy, hard-to-lift pieces can stay on the carpet, but any lighter furnishings should be relocated to another area of your home until the carpet is clean and dry. As our carpet cleaners are not licensed furniture movers, this is an important step for you to perform before we arrive.
Simply clearing the area of small furniture such as plant stands, floor lamps, coffee tables, and ottomans can improve the ability of our technicians to give your carpet the deep, thorough clean it needs.
Ensure Important Items are Safe
Our technicians work carefully, but accidents can happen. We encourage all clients to secure fragile items, heirlooms, and valuables in a safe location to prevent avoidable accidents.
Make Note of Problem Areas
Our technicians will conduct a spot test and thorough pre-inspection before beginning the carpet cleaning process, but we also realize you know your carpet best. If there is a specific spot that you’d like us to focus on, let us know! It’s also helpful to inform us of any pet urine in the carpet, and if there is a large amount of urine, let us know when you schedule your appointment so we can be prepared to clean it properly.
Keep Pets in Another Room
The formulas used in our Hot Carbonating Extraction (H.C.E.) process are safe and non-toxic for pets, but it can be difficult for our technicians to do their work if your pet is underfoot. Plus, some pets don’t take fondly to strangers working in their homes. Take a moment to put your pets in another room before our carpet cleaners arrive. If we’re cleaning the entire home, we recommend taking pets out of the home for the duration of the cleaning. It’ll only be a matter of hours before they can have free reign to enjoy your freshly cleaned carpet!
Have a Plan for Parking
Because we sometimes use van-mounted equipment, we’re able to work much more efficiently if we can park as close to the door as possible. Even when your requested services do not require these van-based systems, we still need to get our equipment from the vehicle to your front door. Thus, we ask clients to facilitate nearby parking and make a clear path to the service area. If you live in an apartment building or another housing situation that might make it difficult to get our equipment to you, please let us know ahead of time.
With our carpet cleaners, everything about having your carpet cleaned, including pre-visit preparations, is a breeze! If you’re ready to have your carpet cleaned, schedule an appointment and take the first step toward a cleaner carpet this holiday season.
